In this fast-moving world we tend to complete various tasks at one moment by multi-tasking in order to attenuate burden but the critical view is that multi-tasking has a great influence over executive functioning. The executive function they are using is directly related to the multitasking they are doing. The capacity of a mental health professional to multitask and utilize executive functions must be assessed in such a circumstance. This research aims to analyse the influence of multi- tasking over executive functioning among mental health professionals. 84 mental health professionals participated in this research which included psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, counselling psychologists, psychometricians and occupational psychologists who were working as self-practitioners, in private and government institutions. Multi-Tasking Inventory by Elizabeth M. Poposki and Frederick L Oswald and Executive Functioning Questionnaire Peg Dawson and Richard Guare were used as tools to assess. The result showed that multi-tasking strongly predicts the determinants of executive functioning among mental health professionals.Metrics
