This study aimed to investigate the effect of phubbing, love components, and self-esteem among young adults in romantic relationships. Additionally, the study aimed to explore the differences in phubbing, love components, and self-esteem in different groups based on the type and duration of the relationship. The study utilized a sample of 160 individuals from all over India, with most participants in the 18-25 age group (n = 125, 78.1%) and living in urban areas (n = 141, 88.12%). Data were collected through Google Forms, and statistical analysis was conducted using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The study employed the Generic Scale of Phubbing, the Sternberg Triangular Love Scale, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale as tools for data collection. The results showed a significant correlation between phubbing, love components, and self-esteem, with phubbing negatively impacting intimacy, passion, and commitment, as well as self- esteem. The study also found no significant differences in phubbing, love components, and self-esteem based on gender, type of relationship, or duration of the relationship. These findings suggest that phubbing can have a negative impact on emotional well- being, with potential implications for relationship satisfaction among young adults in romantic relationships.Published
