Abstract

In this article, I have attempted to combine theoretical constructs of fear of failure with a client’s experience of overcoming this fear. Through my experience with Miss A (name kept anonymous for the purpose of confidentiality), her struggles and her emotions are analysed with a relevant review of the literature to holistically explore the said phenomena. Data in this context has been derived from the dialogic process of online therapy, which includes client experiences and reflections as well as the learnings and insights gained through the therapeutic process. Lastly, the intervention focuses on ups and downs to learn to cope with negative emotions, deal with thoughts related to fear of failure, and gather courage to accomplish challenging tasks.
