The present study explored the impact of family environment on emotional intelligence in young adults. The family environment has a fundamental effect on young adults’ emotional intelligence. The type of parental relationships that occur during formative years have a consequential impact on emotional intelligence, which includes traits like self-consciousness, compassion, regulation of emotions, and interpersonal skills. The research has delved into how family environments shape the emotional intelligence (EI) of young adults. Studies consistently highlight that nurturing family settings—characterized by cohesion, expressiveness, and low conflict—foster higher EI levels in offspring. This study explores the connection between young people’s ability to effectively navigate social relationships and control their emotions and family dynamics. By acknowledging these links, the study emphasizes the necessity of family-friendly treatments that support young adults’ overall development. The research indicates that specific family structures and dynamics, such as attachment styles and parenting approaches, significantly influence EI development. Young adults’ emotional intelligence is significantly impacted by their family environment. This study looks at how family dynamics, parenting practices, and emotional support affect the life of an individual. Negative experiences can impede emotional development, whereas a positive home environment promotes emotional resilience and well-being. Therefore, with the studies, my idea supported that the emotional intelligence of young adults is highly impacted due to family environment.Published
