Emotional stability is an important part of our Mental Health. Our habitual emotional patterns certainly have an impact on almost every domain of our lives, mental health and well-being. The purpose of this research was to study the levels Optimism and Emotional Stability of the youth in Armed Conflict zone of Poonch. The statistical techniques used in this research were Independent Sample T test and Pearson Correlation. The objectives were to examine the gender differences with regard to optimism among young adults. To examine the gender differences with regard to emotional stability among young adults. To investigate relationship between the optimism and emotional stability among young adults. A sample of 100 individuals of age group 18-35 was selected. 50 males and 50 females participated in this research. All the participants were the residents Poonch, Jammu & Kashmir. The method used for sampling was Purposive Sampling. Results were H1   There will be high level of Optimism in males than compared to females among young adults. H1 that states there will be high level of Optimism in males than compared to females among young adults does not stand true. Hence, H1 is rejected. H2 There will be high level of Emotional Stability in males than compared to females among young adults. Hence H2 which states that there will be high level of Emotional Stability in males than compared to females among young adults stands true. Hence H2 is accepted. H3   There will be a high correlation between the Optimism and Emotional Stability among young adults.
