Globally, technology has become an integral part of modern society, with the majority of people spending around three to four hours online daily, regardless of their profession or age. However, the extent of dependence on technology varies greatly among individuals and professions. Experts have suggested that students may be more vulnerable to the negative effects of modern technology on human Behaviour compared to the working population. A recent study has revealed that adolescents, aged between 10 and 19, are prone to excessive internet use, often spending hours playing games and socializing with friends on their mobile devices. Mental health professionals have expressed concern over the alarming Behaviours, psychological disorders, and mental health challenges exhibited by the younger generation, which are attributed to their addiction to technology. The overuse and abuse of online apps on mobile devices have become a significant threat to human life, with numerous studies highlighting the dangers of mobile addiction. Excessive internet use can have far-reaching consequences, affecting people from all walks of life, regardless of age. It can hinder the goals and aspirations of the next generation, impede personal growth, and have detrimental effects on physical and mental health, as well as relationships. Prolonged online activity can lead to a decline in overall well-being, causing individuals to neglect their health, relationships, and other essential aspects of life. It is essential to recognize the risks associated with mobile addiction and take proactive measures to mitigate its effects, promoting a healthy balance between technology use and other aspects of life. By doing so, we can ensure that the benefits of technology are maximized while minimizing its negative consequences, ultimately fostering a healthier and more balanced lifestyle for individuals of all ages.Published
