Abstract

Subliminal messages access the subconscious mind’s deep layers, revealing untapped potential, memories, and behavioural triggers. Unlike the conscious mind, that utilises reasoning, decision-making, and logic, the subconscious mind analyses inputs below the level of consciousness, impacting emotions, beliefs, and automatic responses. This review investigates the relationship between the conscious and subconscious minds, specifically how subliminal messages might alter ideas and actions. The subconscious mind serves as a reservoir for a variety of emotional, sensory, and cognitive patterns. Subliminal messages encoded in stimuli interact with this reservoir, eliciting unique reactions. The review paper discusses ground-breaking studies in psychology and neuroscience, focussing on how subliminal messaging may impact critical areas such as motivation, decision-making, and personal growth. The debate also emphasises how positive thinking, visualisation, and conscious intent may direct the subconscious mind to access powerful programming, possibly changing an individual’s attitude, performance, and well-being.
