Abstract

A fit routine today creates the way for brighter minds tomorrow. Endurance training is increasingly recognised as a key determinant of student success, yet the factors that contribute to its development remain under investigation. This study explores the relationship between endurance training and scholastic persistence among college learning population. While much of the existing research has focused on cognitive and psychological factors influencing scholastic persistence, the role of physical activity specifically endurance training remains under-explored. This study hypothesizes that regular participation in endurance training may enhance scholastic persistence by improving physical health, reducing stress, and boosting self-efficacy. The methods include, open-ended, unstructured interview with the participants of the study. The statistical procedures include – t-test and product moment correlation to statistically analyse the levels of academic resilience and resistance training. The sample includes 60 university students, aged 18-24 years. The results portray that endurance training is correlated with scholastic persistence. This study emerges as a key source of understanding the importance of endurance training in gaining persistence within the scholastic arena.
