A Correlative Study to Understand the Relationship between Depression, Anxiety, and Patients with Alcohol Dependence Syndrome

The present study was carried out to learn the relationship between Depression, Anxiety, and patients with Alcohol Dependence Syndrome. Purposive sampling technique was used in the study and 30 participants were taken as subjects for the same. Initially, ADUIT (Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test) was administered to screen the individuals with Alcohol Dependence Syndrome and later were administered Hospital Anxiety and Depression Rating Scale (HADS). The scores were then recorded and analysis using Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The results showed no significant relation between Depression, Anxiety, and patients with Alcohol Dependence Syndrome. It was concluded from this study. There is a very weak positive relationship between the above-mentioned variables.Metrics
