A comparative study of self-concept among boy and girl school students of Ranchi town

The present study was undertaken to investigate the self-concept of boy and girl school students of Ranchi town. For this purpose, the participants were selected from two types of schools (Private and Government) of Ranchi town. A number of 100 participants (Private boy students, private girl students, government boy students and government girl students) had been selected. Thus, there was 2×2 factorial design. There were four stratums. From each stratum 25 students were selected randomly. Self- concept rating Scale developed by Dr. Raj Kumar Saraswat (1971) was used to collect data. The results revealed that Level of Self-concept was vary among total and different sample sub groups and there was significant impact of gender and there was no significant impact of types of school on Self-concept of school students of Ranchi town.Metrics
