Saudi postgraduate’s perceived stress experiences: a qualitative study

Abstract

The study investigates stress experience among Saudi postgraduates at Manchester University. The aims of this study were identified as:  sources of stress Identify; the coping strategies and the effect of stress. The data for the study was collected by using different qualitative methods in two phases. A focus group tool was used in the first phase with a total of thirteen Saudi postgraduates. In the second phase, an in-depth semi-structured interview was conducted with ten interviewees. The results show eight stressors among Saudi postgraduates. These stressors have psychological, physical, and behavioral influences on Saudi postgraduates. There are six types of strategies conducted by Saudi postgraduates to coping with.
