Abstract

The present research is “A Study of Adjustment, Aggressiveness and Educational Achievements of Students of Higher Secondary of Schools: In Context to Nuclear and Joint Families”. This particular topic is selected for the research keeping in view the dissolution of families these days and its effects on adolescents. Now-a­days, joint families are being divided in various small units, which in turn affects the adolescents. Under this research, a comparative study of the adjustment, their aggressiveness and educational achievements of the adolescents studying in Higher Secondary level, in context with nuclear and joint families, was carried out with the help of different tests. The study reveals that adjustment, and academic achievement of adolescents living in joint family is higher as compared to adolescents of nuclear family, whereas aggression is found to be more in adolescents of nuclear family than adolescents living in joint family.
