This paper attempts to highlight parallels between the concepts of spirituality and personality theories in psychology. With an emphasis to Ancient Indian Philosophy, the following text speaks about how modern schools of psychology like Psychoanalysis and Humanism show evident similarities with Vedic and Upanishadic views. It is important to identify such similarities between old and new knowledge, and develop integrated systems for understanding ever complex human behavior.
