The tools used to assess perceived stress and optimism were PSS – Perceived stress scale (Cohen et al., 1983) a 10-item measure and the LOT-R – Life Orientation Test–Revised a 10-item instrument (Scheier, M. F., Carver, C. S., & Bridges, 1994). This study included a sample of 170 (72 men and 98 women) participants.
