Impact of Work Environment Services on Quality of Life and Life Satisfaction of Employees

These findings contribute to the growing body of research on workplace well-being and provide actionable insights for organizations seeking to improve employee satisfaction and overall quality of life. The work environment plays a critical role in shaping employees’ well-being, influencing both their Quality of Life (QOL) and Life Satisfaction (LS). This study investigates the impact of Work Environment Services (WES) on QOL and LS among employees from three different occupational groups: nurses, school teachers, and corporate employees. A total of 150 participants (50 from each group) were surveyed using validated measures, including the Australian WHOQOL-BREF for QOL and a 32-item Work Environment Services Scale (WESS). The study employed descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and correlation analysis to examine group differences and relationships among key variables. The findings indicate a significant positive correlation between WESS and QOL (r = .561, p < .001), suggesting that enhanced workplace services contribute to better overall life quality. A weaker yet significant correlation was found between WESS and LS (r = .192, p = .018), indicating that while workplace services influence life satisfaction, additional factors may also contribute. ANOVA results revealed significant differences among occupational groups in terms of WESS (F(2,147) = 11.30, p < .001), QOL (F(2,147) = 5.93, p = .003), and LS (F(2,147) = 4.84, p = .009), with corporate employees reporting higher scores compared to nurses and school teachers. These findings highlight the need for organizations to implement targeted workplace improvements to enhance employee well-being. Particularly, healthcare and education sectors require strategic interventions to address work-related stressors. The study contributes to the growing body of research on workplace well-being and underscores the significance of investing in comprehensive workplace services to improve employee QOL and LS.Published
