The current study examines the correlation between family relations, emotional intelligence and anxiety in young adults. A purposive sample of 200 young adults (18 -25) from Pune city was used for study. Participants completed the Index of Family Relations (IFR), Emotional Intelligence Scale (EIS) and the State and Trait Anxiety Questionnaire (STAI). The data was analyzed using SPSS descriptive statistics and Spearman’s rho correlations were used. The findings revealed that family relations positively correlate with dimensions of emotional intelligence. In contrast, anxiety showed a negative correlation with both family relations and dimensions of emotional intelligence. These results underscore the role family dynamics and environment in the emotional development and anxiety levels in young adults.Published
